How to Obtain or Renew a License

Collection Agencies

All initial license and renewal applications and applicable fees for collection agencies are submitted to the Division through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) using the company form (MU-1 Form) for the principal office and the Branch form (MU3-Form) for each additional location that plans to conduct Nevada activity.

Collection Agency Compliance Managers

All initial license and renewal applications and applicable fees for compliance managers are submitted to the Division through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) using the Individual Form (MU-4).

  • April 15 of each year Annual Report is due
  • Collection Agency License Expires December 31
  • Collection Agency Manager License Expires December 31
  • Collection Agency License Renewal Period is November 1-December 31
  • Collection Agency Manager Renewal Period is November 1-December 31
  • 2nd Quarter of each year CPA Assessment is due
  • September 30 of each year Attorney General Assessment Fee is due
